ROAD’s work travels across two of the phases of a disaster, Response and Recovery.  Our Response work is tracked through Work Orders for immediate needs for tarping, debris removal, and muck-outs. Our Recovery work is tracked through funded Scopes of Work for repairing the home by installing roofing, drywall, flooring, siding, etc.  The fourth phase of a disaster, Mitigation, we also accomplish in Recovery as installing a new roof allows it to weather the storms ahead.

Each map represents work that was done for that year’s disaster. Often recovery extends into the years beyond when the disaster occured.   The maps are designed to tell the story of the overall impact that year had on our state, but the work accomplished extends over a longer period of time.
