# Recovering Oklahomans After Disaster (ROAD)
> Serving Oklahoma disaster survivors who have little to no means of recovery on their own with free home repairs.

Recovering Oklahomans After Disaster ("ROAD") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Oklahoma City, OK, serving disaster survivors across all 77 counties of Oklahoma. Founded September 14, 2018 by Chad Detwiler, Kevin Walker, and Hal Wright.

## What we do
- Centralized Logistics — coordinating donated materials and labor for disaster recovery projects
- Project Management — managing home repair projects from intake through completion
- Labor Resources — deploying volunteers, vocational trainees, and contractors to complete repairs
- Vocational Training Apprenticeship Program — training new construction workers while serving survivors
- Disaster Recovery services — roof tarping, muck-outs, debris cleanup, roofing, drywall, insulation, flooring, siding

ROAD works alongside many other organizations meeting needs following a disaster, including the OK United Methodist Disaster Response, Mennonite Disaster Services, OK Emergency Management, Tulsa County Social Services, and the Center for Disaster Philanthropy. ROAD is a member of the Oklahoma Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (OKVOAD).
